Kimber Ashley Wassenberg

Proverbs 31:30
"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised."

1 Peter 3:3
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."

Thirteen years ago today, the Lord graciously blessed my parents with another bundle of joy, and me with a younger sister. Kimber has been my closest confidant and best friend. We have talked about life in so many aspects and the next one to follow. We've probably rebuked each other, in our telling of our observations and things we've noticed, without even knowing it. Many people have told her that she is beautiful, and I heartily agreeJ! Most importantly, though, is the beauty that is in her heart that passer-bys may never think of. I bet that's what most people say and think she is so beautiful! But even close friends and family may not know that she has quite the sense of humor (Daddy must be rubbing off on us all!)! When someone in our family is sad or upset she always tries her best to cheer them up and make them feel better-it's just a part of her! I can tell how very hard she tries to match her "walk with her talk". I most certainly hope that today she is most blessed and tomorrow as she has a 13th Birthday Luncheon with friends and family.

I love you, Kimber!

Your sister and friend,

Thanksgiving Week Report

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."
1 Chronicles 16:34
Well, I've tried to upload pictures a few times and I've had no success so it'll be just words today! (Though I will try and post photos later because I really liked some of them :)
I don't know if I've said this before, but we went up to our grandparent's house for Thanksgiving the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We had a great time, and the food was delicious! Then, Monday-Wednesday we went to the resort and Thursday we went to our other grandparents house (my moms parents) and had Thanksgiving with them. Of course, the food was very yummy and I think I might have eaten too many mashed potatoes.... I took some live, in-action pictures of my siblings and cousins playing ball (which I will put on the blog sometime) which was a new thing for me (my camera doesn't have an option on whether to increase/decrease shutter speed but the camera I'm borrowing does). And if you're wondering what shutter speed is...it means how fast I take a picture. Like if it's at 500 it takes the picture as soon as I want it to with no lag and if it's at 10.7 (or something like that) it's a lot slower.
Enough with my photography terms...
We cleaned up the house, did laundry and had guests over Friday night and then on Saturday we went back to our Na-naw's house (mamma's mom) to host a baby shower for our Aunt. We played two different games. One was the babyfood game - which consisted of guessing (smelling or tasting) the ingredient of the 12 baby food jars - and then a baby letter-naming game - which was made up of writing down a girl name for all 26 letters of the alphabet in 2-3 minutes...with the person who had the most unique names given a prize. Of course, there were those delicious mints (that you only see available to eat at baby showers), crackers, veggies, fruits etc. and then the cake from Ukrop's Bakery!
So that's how our Thanksgiving went. Oops, I missed something! In the midst of this busyness daddy cleaned most of our carpets with the "Rug Doctor." That consisted of moving everything off the floor, spot-spraying, etc. This occured Friday - the day after Thanksgiving.
That's my report on our Thanksgiving week and I'll try and post some pictures soon.
Willingly Jesus',
Kimber
P.S - For those who might be interested, we have an entertainment center (for your T.V, movies etc.), dvd player, super vhs player, and file cabinet that we would like to offer up....if you're interested and would like more information you can just email us and we'll get back to you as soon as we can! Thanks!
